A Christmas Message

We come once more to the great celebration of Christmas and rightly we celebrate.

But we celebrate as God’s people in the midst of our joys and sorrows, in a world that at some time is filled with beauty, and brings us pain. Rightly we celebrate.

We thank God for this year. People in our Parish have been Baptised, Confirmed and made their First Communion. Couples have married. We have lost many loved ones –

may they rest in peace.

Our Church has been decorated, and our Sanctuary re-designed. We have our Parish Hall completely refurbished, and yet our Church heating is broken. Joys and Sorrow!

Christ our Saviour came into the world out of love. People of all shapes and sizes were drawn to him. This coming to Christ will continue until the end of time – this love overcomes all of our burdens. Rightly we celebrate.

May every one of you have a joyful and blessed Christmas. God Bless you.
