Grand Re-opening of the St. Peter-in-Chains’ Church Hall with Bishop Ralph

Bishop Ralph braved the stormy conditions in Doncaster yesterday to celebrate Holy Mass at St. Peter-in-Chains, Doncaster and officially open and bless the newly renovated Church Hall.
After celebrating Holy Mass, Bishop Ralph blessed the hall and cut the ribbon to symbolise it was officially open! The renovations, which have been long-awaited, included new flooring, a new kitchen and updated décor. A number of very active church and community groups are looking forward to utilising the refurbished facilities.
The renovation has not been without its problems, being hampered by electrical faults and delivery delays. Fittingly, however, the Church Hall was ready in time to host the ever successful Christmas Day Homeless café run by Churches Together.
It is hoped that the St. Peter-in-Chains community will now be able to host a wide range of catechist and social events over the coming months.
